Warsaw, Poland

Warsaw is the largest and capital city of Poland. It was completely destroyed by the Nazis during World War II, but restored itself from the ashes to its historical and classical style. Because of that, along with its survival from many wars throughout history, it is known as the "Phoenix City." Some touristy things to do here are to visit the Palace of Culture and Science (a "gift" from the Soviet Union) and learn about Frederic Chopin through the numerous museums the city has to offer for its famous composer.
