Munich is the capital city of Bavaria. It is famous for its beautiful architecture, fine culture, and the annual Oktoberfest beer celebration which ironally does not start in October. Most of the city famous buildings were bombed in WWII but have been restored including the Rathaus (city hall) and its largest church, the Frauenkirche. Aside from its rich history, it is also the international center piece for engineering and technology as exemplified by worldclass technology and science museums like the Deutsches Museum, BMW Museum.
